Saba Shahid

Saba Shahid graduated with an MSc degree in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK and holds a BA degree in Economics from Bilkent University, Turkey. Prior to joining the CPPG, Saba worked with the Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre on the publication of their annual reports on South Asia. Here she was involved in the research writing and publication efforts of the Centre, dealing with a broad set of issues such as health, education, the economy and women's rights and how these impact a region's human development potential.

Saba has also volunteered extensively in the UK and Turkey for organizations such as UNICEF, the British Red Cross, Flying Broom and the Reading International Solidarity Centre. Saba is passionate about evidence-based research that strives towards enforcing tailor-made policies to suit local economic, social and political conditions.
