Two authors, Dr. Nukhbah Taj Langah and Dr. Saadia Toor, will present a summary of their books raising issues in the context of some of the established notions on Pakistani Identity, Ethnicity and Seraiki Suba through the lens of history, culture, language and politics. The book titled “Poetry as Resistance: Islam and Ethnicity in Post Colonial Pakistan (2011)” by Dr. Nukhbah Taj Langah, Head of the English Department, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) and the other one titled “The State of Islam: Culture and Cold War Politics in Pakistan (2011)” by Dr. Saadia Toor, who is Associate Professor of Sociology, College of Staten Island, The City University of New York.
