A seminar on “Management & Professional Development Department (MPDD): Purpose, Function and Structure of a Training Institution” was held at Centre For Public Policy and Governance (CPPG), Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

CPPG Professor and Founding Director Dr. Saeed Shafqat chaired the session. The distinguished guest speaker was Mr. Nadeem Irshad Kayani, who is currently working as Secretary Management & Professional Development Department (MPDD), Government of Punjab.

Mr. Kayani has Masters degree in Globalization & Development from Warwick University, UK. He started his career as Civil Servant in 1987 and is currently working as Secretary Management & Professional Development Department (MPDD), Government of Punjab. He has served as Community Welfare Attache’ at the Embassy of Pakistan, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (1999 – 2002) and has also held important posts in the Punjab Government as well as in the Federal Government. Mr. Kayani’s research interests include: Policy and Governance Issues in education and Human Resource Development.
