Dr. Miles Toder holds a Ph.D in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Foreign Service Officer with extensive experience working in the area of Democracy and Governance as he served in Africa, Middle East, Europe and South and Southeast Asia. He has led USAID’s programs in policy dialogues with the government of Indonesia. Prior to this, Dr. Toder served as Lead Specialist on the Provincial Reconstruction Team in Anbar Province, Iraq. He has also supervised USAID’s elections assistance program to Iraqi Independent High Elections Commission. Other assignments include directing the USAID Mission to Kosovo’s Democracy and Governance Office, managing a program aimed at defining the role and function of government as a facilitator of private sector led economic growth in Lusaka, Zambia etc. Currently he is the USAID Provincial Director – Punjab, Pakistan
