Guest Speaker:

Mr. Suljuk Mustansar Tarar is a Senior Advisor on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals specifically focusing on global health issues, gender equality, population, youth and children and inequalities at United Nations, New York. He is a career Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP) officer and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998. He was also elected as Rapporteur of 2009 NGOs Committee and Chair of its January 2013 session; he was Vice Chair of 2011 Commission on Population and Development.

Mr. Tarar has Bachelors in Architecture with honors from National College of Arts, Lahore and Masters in International Affairs from School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University, New York. His areas of expertise include peace and security, human rights, sustainable development and humanitarian issues. He has worked with UNFPA since 2013 on political strategy, partnerships, advocacy, inter-agency coordination and contributing to UN reports for ICPD beyond 2014 review and the Post 2015 process.
