Dr. Charles Kennedy is a renowned political scientist, currently the Co-Director of the Middle East and South Asia Studies Program at Wake Forest University. He received his PhD from Duke University and also holds MPP in Public Policy from there. At Wake Forest University, he has been a member of the Department of Politics and International Studies since 1985. Professor Kennedy has conducted extensive field research in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. He has held three senior Fulbright research awards; and has visited South Asia many times to conduct research and administer programs.

Dr. Kennedy has edited and co-edited thirteen books. His seminal work on Bureaucracy in Pakistan was published in 1988. His most recent publication is Government and Politics in South Asia, co-author (Westview Press, 2014)
