Dr. Ryan Brasher holds PhD in Political Science from Indiana University. His dissertation titled “Projecting the State: Political Ideology and Infrastructure Power in early 20th Century Afghanistan and Iran”.  He has been Associate Instructor (2007-2012), Department of Political Science at the Indiana University, Bloomington. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore.

Dr. Brasher’s publications include Militant Islam in South Asia: past trajectories and present implications”with Sumit Ganguly (2013). “In Afghanistan, Pakistan and Strategic Change: Adjusting Western Regional Policy”, edited by Joachim Krause and Charles Mallory. New York: Routledge and Ethnic Brother of Engineered Namesake: The Construction of Tajik Identity in Tajikistan and Afghanistan”. His research interests include Comparative Politics and International Relations.
