Dr. Christian W. Troll  is a leading European scholar in Islamic thought and Muslim-Christian relations. He has taught and written on the subject for over forty years and has been a leading advisor to international institutions most importantly the Catholic Church in Rome. He holds a PhD from University of London and is well known as the foremost scholar on the life and works of Sir Syyid Ahmad Khan. He taught at Vidya Jyoti in New Delhi and at the Centre for Islam and Muslim-Christian Relations in Birmingham where he was the founding editor of the Journal. He is Professor Emeritus in the Graduate School of Philosophy and Theology of the College of St. Georgen in Germany.
