Dr. Roger D Long is Professor of History at the Department of History and Philosophy, Eastern Michigan University teaching there since 1987. He did his PhD from UCLA under the supervision of eminent Professor Stanley Wolpert, in 1985 and wrote his doctoral dissertation on “Liaquat Ali Khan: From National Agriculturist Party to Muslim League”. He has a vast teaching and research experience at various Universities in USA, Canada and Pakistan (teaching at Lahore American School and Aitchson College, Lahore).
Dr. Long’s publications include “State and Nation Building in Pakistan since 1947: Beyond Islam and Security” (London Routledge 2015), “A History of Pakistan” (Karachi: Oxford University Press 2015) and many others. Two of his publications under preparation are “India and the Great War” (edited with Ian Talbot) and “Liaquat Ali Khan: Jinnah’s Right Hand, 1895 – 1947”.
