Dr. Kaveri Qureshi  is an urban anthropologist who has worked widely on the Punjabi diaspora and in both Indian and Pakistani Punjab. She has also researched on the economic, political, cultural and educational dimensions of Indian Punjabi transnationalism as part of a three-year EU-funded research project at the University of Sussex.  Currently, she is writing a monograph on Punjabi diasporic youth in Britain as well as a co-authored book on transnational Punjabi families. As John Fell Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, she will be researching on the urban kinship and rapidly growing middleclass in Pakistan 2011 onwards.
