The need for this workshop was highlighted in interviews of university faculty, NGO research teams, students and public policy practitioners in various government departments as most people were lacking the necessary theoretical background of Qualitative Research in Social Sciences.

Based on training need assessment, CPPG is conducting a 2-days workshop on Research Methodology. The objective of the workshop is to familiarize the participants with processes involved in research, give an overview of the methodologies used today. The participants will be encouraged to formulate or modify/revise a Research Proposal as part of the Group Activity. This exercise will help explain and explicate some of the basic steps in the Research Process.
